The branch of dentistry that deals with the replacement of missing teeth and related mouth or jaw structures by artificial devices.

1. Removable prostheses are appliances that can be easily removed by the patient. They are divided into:

• Complete Denture. Replaces all the missing teeth of the upper or the lower jaw. Before and after photos
• Partial Denture.  Replaces some (not all) of the missing teeth of the upper or lower jaw. Before and after photos

2. Fixed prostheses. Are appliances that are anchored to the teeth by cementation and cannot be removed by the patient. They are divided into:

• Crown is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth.
• Bridge. Replaces one or more missing teeth.
